Abstract

Bintang Singa is a small business with products produced in the form of noodle sohun stamp Bintang Singa, located in Bendo Village, Cokro, Tulung, Klaten with 5 workers. Activity observed as much as 18 activity from 4 work station. Production activities are still using traditional methods and there are many manual handling activities, so there must be a lot of ergonomic work postures. Therefore, the researchers conducted observations and evaluation of workers at Bintang Singa in the manufacture and packaging of noodle sohun using OWAS and WERA methods. The results of the OWAS method indicate that there are 2 activities that are very risky and need improvement now, that is, the activity of inserting the zinc into the press machine, and the activity of putting the zinc containing the vermicelli noodles into the drying one. The results of the WERA method indicate that the overall activity is included in the medium level action so that further investigation and changes are needed. The SPSS test is performed on 4 sections that are equally identifiable in both methods: the shoulder / arm, back, leg, and weight / strength. The normality test for the whole section shows the results are not normally distributed. Comparative tests on the shoulders / arms and back showed significant differences, while the legs and weight / strengths showed no significant differences. Correlation test on the shoulders / arms, back, and weight / strength shows a significant relationship, while at the foot there is no significant relationship.
