Abstract

Building amenities State College students and lecturer at the Department of architecture of the Faculty of engineering Courses Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta which is inadequate where the number of students each year has increased by the time the new year festive period. The condition of the facilities as well as infrastructure to support the process of course are limited, it is so adverse impact for students in the process of particular coursework. For the current study programmes Architecture Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta J building 2nd floor and 3rd floor H building. Building J as the Centre of Prodi architecture that consists only of 3 classes and it is not very supportive in the process and associated costs, sedangangkan to building H 3rd floor used for the laboratory of architecture. The other problem is the supporting facilities such as the laboratory of architecture lecture and studio final assignment separate from the lecture building, which become obstacles in access to such facilities. Of these problems concern so that the perceived need for the redevelopment of buildings of special Architectural Studies Program representative Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta which is able to accommodate the entire lecture activities and be able to provide a comfortable lecture facilities and terwadahi at one location in one building. In this lecture building design approach used design approach to the concept of eco architecture and Islamic architecture as the pre-eminent Center of the development of Islamic architecture. At this time the design composition is Islamic are realizing the campus atmosphere and being able to apply the concept of eco architecture in the building. From the design of the building that fronted Architecture status of this facility and associated land and made the main problems in the design of this building. On designing also lecture support facilities designed in a single location that is connected directly.
