Abstract
Moss plants are pioneer plants because they can grow somewhere before other plants are able to grow. Jumog waterfall tourist area is located at an altitude of 1000 m dpl, has rainfall and high humidity so much found in moss. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of moss plants in the Forest Tourism Area Jumog Ngargoyoso Waterfall Karanganyar Central Java. The location of research is determined by purposive sampling with explorative method consisting of 2 stations with different height. The results of the study were found 18 Spesies, covering 10 Orders (Marchantiales, Anthocerotales, Bryales, Pottiales, Polytrichales, Fissidentales, Porellales, Hyrtales, Dicranales and Jungermaniales) and 10 Familia (Anthocerotaceae, Bryaceae, Fissidentaceae, Lejeuneaceae, Leucobryaceae, Lophocoleaceae, Marchantiaceae, Polytrichaceae , Thuidiaceae, Octoblepharaceae). Based on the results of the frequency of presence calculations can be seen that spesies Marchantia polymormorpha is a spesies that is often found at the location of research with attendance frequency of 11.24%.
