Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know: 1) influence of headmaster leadership on teacher performance, 2) influence of teacher's motivation to teacher performance. The population in this research is teachers of SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta as much as 78 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling of 66 respondents. Data obtained by documentation and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis was performed by multiple regression techniques, including t-test, F test, R2 test, relative and effective contribution. The results obtained: (1) leadership of principal have significant effect on teacher performance evidenced by t-count value equal to 2,812 > t-table equal to 2,296 and probability equal 0,007 < 0,05. (2) teacher's motivation influence silmutan to teacher performance proved by t-count value equal to 2,396> 2,296 and probability equal to 0,021 < 0,05. (3) the leadership of school kepela and teacher motivation influence silmutan towards the interest of become teacher is proved by value of F-count equal to 7,538 > F-table equal to 3,142 and probability equal 0,001 < 0,05. (4) The principal leadership variable contributes 57,70% and effective contribution 11,14%. The teacher motivation variable contributes 42.30% and the effective contribution is 8.16%. The calculation of R2 is 19.3%. This means that the principal leadership and teacher motivation variables influence 19.3% of teacher performance, the remaining 80.7% influenced by other variables.
