Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effect in using value classification technique on moral understanding toward first grade elementary school. In addition, this research belongs to quantitative research on experiment subject using Quasi Experimental Design and Within Subject Design. In obtaining the sample, the researcher applies saturation sampling. The subject of this research are first grade students within 6-7 years old. The data collection technique of this research uses affective tributes in scale of students moral understanding. In normality and homogeneity test, the researcher uses method from Kolmogorov Sminov. The obtained data will be analyzed using parametric statistic just after the data is considered normal and the homogen’s significance rate > 0, 05. Moreover, the Hypothesis test in this research uses T-test for Dependent sample in order to determine is there any impact from Value Clarification Technique. The result of the analysis shows that there are positive impacts toward first grade student’s moral understanding within 6-7 years old using Value Clarification Technique. In using Value Clarification Technique, the students are able to differentiate the positive and negative value and understand the value in society.
