Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the positive behavior and negative behavior of children with parenting patterns applied by grandmother and to know the achievement of children in public primary school klampok 2. Type of this study is a qualitative case study using there data analysis that is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The method used in this research is the method of observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in public primary school klampok 2 the average students have the same background that is in live his parents work and raised by his grandmother as experienced by riana, umrotul and danang all three of them left his mother worked to labor women and in the care of their grandmother. As raised by their grandmothers they have prominent behaviors in both positive and negative behaviors. Negative behavior of children when in grandmother’s care that is like to argue, lie and lazy whilst the positive behavior of child self- suffiiency, discipline and responsibility. For learning achievement with the pattern of parenting is not good grandmother because grandma can not help his grandson to learn, resulting in less good grandson value. Future target is forother researchers to be able to examine in more detail by examining the behavior of grandmothers and grandchildrenat home, because this study is limited to the school, in addition to all related parties one class teacher can help children behave positively and can improve learning achievement of children.
