Abstract

This study to describe: (1) the variation of sentences form discourse based on Modern Islamic Parenting’s book written by Dr. Hasan Syamsi, (2) the moral value of persuasive discourse, (3) the use of persuasive discourse as teaching materials “bahasa Indonesia” at SMA. This research used descriptive method qualitative which approachment using content analysis. The methods and techniques used in this research is collection methods with note continue techniques. Data which collected then analysed by intralingual equal method, continued with dissapeared and inserted technique. Based 80 discourse filler sentences on Modern Islamic Parenting written by Dr. Hasan Syamsi, was found the good form of persuasive discourse so reader can understand easily what writer goals for. The impact of moral value on persuasive discourse Modern Islamic Parenting’s book dominated by advice for parents to listen their children complaint and always praying to Allah every case. The use of persuasive discourse as teaching materials “bahasa Indonesia” at SMA is moral value of persuasive text. Basic Competency used is 3.3 analyzing persuasive text in the spoken also written.
