Abstract
Background : De Quervain's Syndrome is a painful disease in around the area of the thumb due to inflammation of muscle tendon wrinkles abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis. Objective : To determine the implementation of physiotherapy in reduce thumb pain, increase muscle strength and scope of joint motion with ultrasound modality, transcutaneus electrical stimulation, and exercise. Results: After 6 weeks of therapy, the result of pain reduction, with VAS pain at press FT 0:3,5 to FT6:0, Pain at motion FT 0:6,2 to FT 6:0. Muscle strength with MMT increase muscle value, Flexor Pollicis Longus muscle and Flexor Pollicis Brevis muscle FT 0:4- toFT 6:5, Extensor Pollicis Longus muscle, extensor Pollicis Brevis muscle, and Abductor Pollicis Longus muscle FT 0:4- to FT 6:5, Abductor Pollicis Longus muscle and Abductor Pollicis Brevis muscle FT 0:4- to FT 6:5, Adductor Pollicis muscle FT 0:4 to FT 6:5. LGS with the goneometer increases active fleksi FT 0:45o to FT 6:70o, ekstensi FT 0:15o to FT 6:30o, abduksi FT 0:35o to FT 6:60o. The passive fleksi FT 0:45o to FT 6:70o, ekstensi FT 0:20o to FT 6:30o, abduksi FT 0:40o to FT 6: 60o. Conclusion: Ultrasound, transcutaneus electrical nerve stimulation and exercise can reduce pain, increase muscle strength and scope of joint motion.
