Abstract

Mount Merapi’s Forest area is a volcano area where the crater is still active, located at an altitude of 1700-2930 mdpl. The average of temperature is 27 ° C and the air humidity an averages 80%, making it suitable for growth of wood rot mushroom that grow on obselated wooden stem or at the based of living tree. The purpose of this research was determined the type of wood rot mushroom at Merapi Mountain Forest melalui Selo Boyolali. This researched was an exploratory research with Cruise Methods to explored the climbing route from 1800-2100 meters above sea level. Sampling of wood rot mushroom was carried out each time the encounter and not done again when it finds the same mushroom. Identification was done by included morphological characteristics, habitus, substracts and were analyzed by qualitative description. The results obtained 12 species of wood rot mushroom were classified in 6 families, Polyporaceae, Agaricaceae, Auriculariaceae, Stereaceae, Schizophyllaceae, Tremellaceae. Types of wood rot mushroom that dominate was the familia Polyporaceae (Ganoderma applanatum, Tricaptum abietinum, Trametes versicolor, Trametes gibbosa).
