Abstract
Community empowerment is a process or a way to improve the quality of life or society. Rural tourism development is driven by three factors. First, rural areas have the potential of nature and culture. Second, rural areas have a physical environment that is relatively pristine. Third, in a certain extent rural areas face a relatively slow economic development, thus exploiting the economic potential of cultural, social and local community optimally is the reason rationally in the development of rural tourism. This research aims to know the Kuryo Village community empowerment program, Wonorejo, Jatiyoso in developing tourist Tubing Keceh Way. The research method used i.e. qulitative descriptive method. Engineering data collection with interviews in depth. After performing the data collection through interviews obtained the results achieved through the program activity object of tourism development, the promotion of tourism on the existence of Keceh Way, Tubing and also conduct joint evaluation activities conducted every month once. The form of Empowerment undertaken by community diobjek tours the following Way Keceh Tubing, 1) involving the community in the work via the location of the Setup program or mutual; 2) fringing the river guide; 3) maintenance of site attractions Tubing Keceh Way in the village of Kuryo 4) conducts the evaluation meeting every month with the aim of developing and promoting tourist attractions Tubing Keceh Way.
