Abstract

This study aims for the relationship of causality and cointegration between inflation and money supply with Economic Growth in Indonesia in 1981-2015. Based on the results of this study is expected to give thought contribution for the government in determining the right economic policy in order to increase economic growth. Hypothesis testing in this research using cointegration test and granger causality. This study uses secondary data from Bank Indonesia, namely inflation, money supply and economic growth in Indonesia in 1981-2015. Based on the results of the research note that the results of cointegration testing through Johansen Trace Statistic shows that the value of trace statistice is greater than the critical value at the 5% level of significance. This shows that there is cointegration between inflation variable, money supply and economic growth, so there is long-term relationship between inflation variable, money supply and economic growth. Based on the results of the above study note that there is no causal relationship between inflation and the money supply on economic growth, which means that an increase in economic growth is not always influenced by inflation and money supply.
