Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of forgiveness of the former after the divorce. This research uses qualitative approach of phenomenology, data collection using structured interview technique with snowball and triangulation technique. Subjects in this study amounted to 12 people, with details of 6 people as the main informant who experienced divorce, with characteristics aged 25 to 55 years who have 1 to 3 children studied form of forgiveness of ex-husband / wife, and 6 others become supporting informants who knows the circumstances of the key informants. The research question is how to forgive a former husband or wife after divorce. The result of the research was found that from 6 informants, 4 informants the forgiveness process is done by giving the condition to the former husband or wife that is still maintaining communications concerned with the child, while the other 2 informants form of forgiveness with the condition no longer establish communication after the court decision. From the results of the research also found that the spiritual factor and the relation concerning the child becomes a factor that supports the forgiveness of ex-husband / wife.
