Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital expenditure, private investment and labor on economic growth in the city of Surabaya during the period 1997-2016. The Odinary Least Square (OLS) regression applied to time series data to estimate the regression coefficient of the independent variables. The data used are economic growth of Surabaya City, capital expenditure, domestic investment (PMDN), foreign investment (PMA), and labor which collected from Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The results of the analysis (OLS) show that capital expenditure and domestic investment (PMDN) has positive and significant impact on economic growth in Surabaya City during the period of 1997-2016, meanwhile foreign investment and labor show an insignificant effect on economic growth.
