Abstract
Sodium nitrate plant with raw material of sodium chloride and nitric acid with capacity of 55.000 Ton per year is planned to operate for 330 days per year. The process of making NaNO3 by synthesis of NaCl with HNO3 at 60⁰C and 1 atm pressure in a stirred tank flow reactor with isothermal conditions. NaCl requirement for this factory is 4,776,3557 kg / hour and HNO3 11,922,9102 kg / hour. The resulting product is NaNO3 6,944,4444 kg / hour. Considering several factors such as aspects of raw material supply, transportation, manpower, utilities, and marketing, the strategic location of the plant is Cilegon, Banten to be established in 2020. Process support units are established to support the production process consisting of water supply units , steam, electric power, fuel supply, and waste treatment units. In order to keep the quality of raw materials and product quality under control, the existence of the laboratory is necessary. In this sodium nitrate factory has three laboratories, namely analytical laboratory, physical laboratory, and research and development laboratory. The form of the company is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with line and staff organization structure. Employee work system based on the division of working hours consisting of employees shift and non shift with the number of employees 246 people. This sodium nitrate plant uses a fixed capital of Rp495,334,366,859.00 and working capital of Rp68.399.925.322,00. From the economic analysis of this factory shows pre-tax profit Rp202.400.097.693,00 per year after tax deduction 25% profit reach Rp151.800.073.269,00. Percent Return On Investment (ROI) before tax 35,61% and after tax 26,70%. Pay Out Time (POT) before tax 2.29 years and after tax 2.88 years. Break Even Point (BEP) of 47.80%, and Shut Down Point (SDP) of 28.92% and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) accounted for 28.95%. From the feasibility analysis data above it is concluded that this factory is profitable and feasible to be established.
