Abstract

The management of education at SDN Puron 03 as a regrouping school is good enough, because to manage the regrouping school is not as easy as managing a regular school. This study aims to 1) describe the leadership of the principal, 2) to describe the relationship between the principal and teachers and staff, 3) to describe the ideal school principal's criteria according to teachers and staff at SD Negeri Puron 03 Bulu District, Sukoharjo District. This research is an interactive qualitative research with ethnography research design. Data collection in this research using interview method and sosiometri questionnaire. The findings of this research are 1) Principal leadership in SD Negeri Puron 03 as a regrouping school is to apply the leadership style of Laisszes Fair, based on a) the principal's way of solving school-related problems with discussions with teachers and subsequent staff on the final decision of the principal b) in the lead, the principal conducts guidance and implements a system of sanctions and rewards for teachers and staff, c) the personality of the principal is a good, upbeat and self-confident personality. d) the principal's way of communicating with teachers and staff is by applying an open and honest communication system among members, e) the social relationships developed by the principal in the form of relationships that prioritize the sense of kinship and togetherness, f) the attitude of the principal in receiving input from the teacher and staff with an open attitude. 2) Based on the sociometric analysis of social relationships that exist between principals, teachers and staff in SD Negeri Puron 03 is still lacking this is indicated by the presence of vulnerable voters who are too far between individuals. 3) From the sociometric questionnaire results, there are three teachers with the highest number of voters, indicating that only 23% of teachers are potential as principals. Based on the results of the sosiometri questionnaire obtained the criteria of the principal who is highly desirable according to the principal, teachers and staff at SD Negeri Puron 03 is to have a high dedication and work ethic and quickly responsive in various circumstances. As for the supporting criterion is solve the problem by deliberation, have a high confidence, make decisions wisely and wisely, able to adjust to changing circumstances and rules, have a sense of responsibility, and happy to help.
