Abstract

The ability to control the head the faster the better in this case is expected at the age of three months babies are able to lift the head well. There are various forms of stimulation that can be given to improve head control in infants, one of which is to use a pad with a wedge that is different angle of slope. There are various degrees of slope on the wedge that can be given ie 25ᵒ. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of wedge exercise with 25o prone position slope to increase the head control of infants aged 0-12 weeks. Methods in this research is quasi experimental research or quasi experimental research. The number of samples in this study were 16 respondents. The results of this study showed that there was an increase in infant head control after the addition of stimulus wedge exercise prone position. Thus it can be concluded that there is influence of addition of stimulus wedge exercise prone position to control baby head in treatment group.
