Abstract

The purpose of the study describes the planning, implementation and control / evaluation of character education in SD Muhammadiyah 23 Semanggi Surakarta. Type of qualitative descriptive research with case study design. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis through data collection phase, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion / verification. Researchers found results: a) Character education planning in learning: preparing RPP, learning resources, materials, tasks, and assessment instruments; b) Planning before prayer: take care in line, line up neatly to the mosque, gather prayer shafat; c) Planning tahfidz habituation: preparing stationery, alqur'an, and memory card letters; d) Extracurricular Planning Hizbul Wathan, tambourine, and drumb band in charge of preparing support equipment; e) curricular exercise in class refers to RPP; f) habitual praying at school there are three prayers Dhuhur congregation, Friday prayers in congregation, and prayer Dhuha; g) Tahfidz implemented after the learning process; h) Extracurricular Hizbul Wathan, tambourines, and band drums are performed on different days and hours; i) The control/ evaluation of curricular character education based on the RPP as well as changes in the students' positive behavior in their daily life; j) controlling / evaluating the habit of praying is seen from the preparation and execution of the prayer; k) control/ evaluation tahfidz seen from the level of memorization of letters; l) Extracurricular control/ evaluation is seen from the level of liveliness, enthusiasm, and student achievement in the race; m) management of character education in general through knowing stage exemplary habituation ethics good character school culture.
