Abstract

Marriage is an inner bond between a man and a woman. The marriage is done when it meets the age limit specified by law. One of the problems in this research is about determining the age limit for marriage. In general, marriage dispensation cases are filed in relation to social problems of unhealthy adolescents. The method used in this research is juridical empirical. If the marriage has not met the age limit set by the marriage law that is 19 (nineteen) years and 16 (sixteen) years for women then must apply for dispensation of marriage to the Religious Court. The judge in this case sees what factors are causing the request and also consider whether the request will be granted or not. With so many cases, the government's role in minimizing underage marriage is needed in this regard.
