Abstract

Background of Study: One of the disturbances in childhood development caused by brain damage is cerebral palsy (CP). CP is a term for a variety of problems due to posture control disorders and motions control that are occurred because of permanent brain damage it occurs before, when, or after birth. In the case of cerebral palsy physiotherapy have a major role in focusing on the improvement of functions, motions, and optimizations of the potential that has been owned. Several physiotherapies intervention that can be used to overcome problems in children with spastic cerebral palsy conditions includes trunk mobilization, passive stretching and neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT). Objective of Study : To find out how the implementation of physiotherapy with trunk mobilization, passive stretching, NDT and its effect on spasticity, muscle strength, primitive reflex and functional ability of children with spastic cerebral palsy diplegia hypotonic with flexion type. Results : After physiotherapy treatment for 6 times obtained the results of spasticity as measured by Asworth scale on T1: hip 2, knee 3, ankle 3 becomes T6: hip 2, knee 3, ankle 3. Muscle strength examination measured with X0TR scale showed T1: X value for all extremities becomes T6: X value for all extremities. Primitive reflex examination, at T1: the patient is still at the brainstem level became T6: the patient is still at the brainstem level. Functional capability as measured by GMFM, on T1: total score of 54.8% becomes T6: total score of 54.8% Conclusion: In the treatment of physiotherapy to patients with modality trunk mobilization, passive stretching and neurodevelopmental treatment for 6 times therapy has not found significant change, however the training is able to give positive contributions such as preventing the occurrence of contractures in both limbs and increase patient interaction with others Keywords: Cerebral palsy spastic diplegia, trunk mobilization, passive stretching neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT).
