Abstract

The isolation of transformer is one of the important components in the power transformer. The occurrence of the failure of the insulation can be caused the failure of operation or even damage on the transformer. This test is to find out the quality of the resistance isolation of a transformer. Method to find out that condition of the insulation is calculating the polarization index, doing the test oil, and tangent delta. calculate tangent delta aim to measure the flow of leaked capacitive transformer. The isolation testing tangent delta aims to find out if the quality of the insulation on each transformer entanglement is still in good condition. The testing done to find out the oil of the oil is still viable or not. The test results show that all parameters are in good condition/enough. According to IEEE Std 286TM – 2000 (R2006), obtained a value of polarization index (IP) 1.42. The average value of the dissipation factor (DF) 0.11%. Transformer oil testing results on average 43, 3kV. Keywords: tangent delta, resistance isolation, polarization index
