Abstract
Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI) is respiratory tract infection that attacks human respiratory tract caused by bacteria or viruses that include pharyngitis and sinusitis. This study aims to evaluate the use of antibiotics that include precise indications, precise patients, precise drugs, precise dosage in patiens with pharyngitis and sinusitis of children at the inpatient installation of RSUD dr. R. Soetijono Blora in 2016. This research is a non-experimental study conducted with data collection on inpatient medical records retrospectively according to age inclusion criteria under 18 years, patient with pharyngitis and sinusitis diagnosis of inpatient installation of RSUD dr. R. Soetijono 2016, complete medical record data and analyzed by descriptive method. Analyzed with IDAI Buku Ajar Respirologi Anak in 2015. Results of evaluation of antibiotics use in patient diagnosed with pharyngitis and sinusitis showed the use of antibiotics in the pediatrics patient’s 59 cases (100%) precise indication, 57 cases (96,61%) precise patient, 37 cases (64,90%) precise medication, and 2 cases (5,26%) precise dose.
