Abstract
Investment has an important role to play in the progress of development in Central Java Province, increasing local revenue, absorbing employment and increasing people's economic income and impacting economic growth in the region. In this study the authors take the title "Analysis of Regional Concentration Central Java Investment Objectives and Factors Affecting Year 2013-2016". This research uses 5 (five) independent variable that is HDI, exchange rate, GRDP, government expenditure and interest rate. This study aims to determine the highest and lowest investment destinations in 35 districts / municipalities of 2 Central Java Province so that it can be used as a reference government to take appropriate policies to increase investment in the region for public welfare and economic growth increased and the influence of HDI, , GRDP, government expenditure and interest rate on investment in Central Java Province 2013-2016. This study uses secondary data and analysis method used in this research is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that the largest concentration of investment destination areas were in Kabupaten Cilacap, Kabupaten Rembang and Kabupaten Karanganyar while the lowest was in Kota Semarang. The result of panel data regression analysis can be concluded that Random Effect Model (REM) is the most appropriate data panel regression model. Based on the validity test of influence or t test, the variable of HDI and government expenditure have negative and significant influence, exchange rate and GRDP have positive and significant influence while interest rate has negative and insignificant effect to investment. Based on the F test, HDI, exchange rate, GRDP, government spending and interest rate simultaneously or together affect investment.
