Abstract
Refill drinking water is one of home business product whose existence is increasing. Refill drinking water into a society alternative to meet the needs of drinking water. However, not all of refill drinking water provides good quality. This reseach aimed know the presence of Escherichia coli in refill drinking water in the working area of Puskesmas Gambirsari Surakarta.The reseach method used is descriptive. Reseach was conducted on 11 refill drinking water depoes with observation and laboratory testing to know the presence of Escherichia coli. The results showed that all (100%) samples of refill drinking water in the working area of Puskesmas Gambirsari contained no Escherichia coli bacteria. Thus, all refill drinking water depoes have fulfilled the requirements of Permenkes RI No. 492/MENKES/Per/IV/2010 about drinking water quality.
