Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the value of maize imports in Indonesia. These factors include maize Production, maize Consumption, and Exchange Rate. The data used in this research are secondary data, namely data of maize import, maize production data, maize consumption data, and exchange rate data sourced from Susenas and BPS Indonesia processed by Pusdatin, Bank Indonesia and FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) . Econometrics analysis model used in this research is Error Correction Model (ECM). The results of this study indicate that maize production, and consumption of maize significantly affect the import of maize in the short term and maize production, consumption of maize and exchange rate significantly influence the import of maize in the long term.
