Abstract
The target of baby getting exclusive breastfeeding by the Minority of Health is as much as 80% while Surakarta city in 2015 was 73,64% and the lates data in 2016 was 76,72%. In Nusukan primary health care the babies who get exclusive breastfeeding in 2016 are 76,8% consisting of 357 babies. The aims to understand the factors relating to the lactation management on the primiparous mothers in Nusukan primary health care of Banjarsari sub-district, Surakarta city.it is an observational research using cross sectional approach. The population is 88 primiparous mothers in Nusukan primary health care, with exhaustive sampling technique. The data analysis used chi square test. The result showed that there was a correlation between the knowledge level (p=0,000), there was no correlation between the education level (p=0,807), there was not correlation between the family encouragement (p=0,632), there was no correlation between the occupation (0,477) and there was no correlation between nutrition status (p=0,659), with the lactation management of primiparous mothers in Nusukan primary health care of Banjarsari sub-district, Surakarta city.
