The power transformer is the equipment that enters the transmission system where the power transformer needs to be maintained reliable in the distribution of electric power and minimize the loss of power or voltage drop. Keeping the power transformer work is very important therefore it is necessary a protection system, where the protection system is functioned for the performance of power transformers remain optimal, one of the existing protection systems in the power transformer is a differential release. The differential relay is one of the most reliable protec- tions of disturbance that will arise and is a protection against the current transfomator (CT) in the event of an interruption. This differential differential task is to maintain the stability between the current transformer (CT) on the primary and secondary side where to guard against internal and external disturbances. The method used by collecting the required data in Wonosari Substation and doing the calculation. The result of the ratting current on the side voltage of 150 kV is 254,034 A and on the side voltage of 20 kV is 1905.255 A. The current rating calculation result is used as the consideration of the corresponding ratio value on the market on the high voltage transformer side of 300: 1 A and the voltage side low of 2000: 1 A. The result of error mismatch at high voltage 0.88%, while at low voltage 1.125%. Calculation of current settings obtained value of 0.1 A.
