Abstract
Purposes of the study are to describe the effect of interest rate, rupiah exchange rate, and investment simultaneously on inflation in Indonesia over the period of 2000-2015, to describe the effect of interest rate, rupiah exchange rate, and partial investment on inflation in Indonesia over the period of 2000-2015 and to describe the most dominant influence of interest rate, rupiah exchange rate, and investment on inflation in Indonesia during the period of 2000-2015. The study used time series data from 2000-2015. Variables to be observed are interest rate, exchange rate, and investment, and inflation. Data obtained from Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) that is data of social census. To know the influence of interest rate, rupiah exchange rate, and investment to inflation is used linear regression model error correction model (ECM) with reference to previous research. The result of analysis with ECM model is known that the interest rate has no significant effect on the inflation rate, the exchange rate does not have a significant effect on the inflation rate, the investment does not significantly affect the inflation rate (p> 0.05), both in the short term and the long term all the variables have no effect to the inflation rate (p> 0.05). R2 of 28.3% shows only about 28.3% interest rate, exchange rate, and investment in influencing inflation rate in Indonesia. While the influence of external factors that examined bigger that is equal to 100-28,33% = 71,7%.
