Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity with psychological well-being, the level of religiosity, the level of psychological well-being, the effective contribution of religiosity to psychological well-being. The subject of this research is 90 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. The data collection method used in this research is cluster random sampling. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a measurement tool of the scale of religiosity with psychological well-being scale. Data analysis technique used in this research is Product Moment Pearson correlation. Based on the results of data analysis obtained correlation coefficient of 0.602 and sig. (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05) means there is a positive relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. Religiosity variables have empirical mean (RE) equal to 124,17 and hypothetical mean (RH) equal to 90 which belongs to religiosity level is very high, whereas psychological welfare variable has empiric mean (RE) equal to 99,51 and hypothetic average equal to 87,5 including moderate levels of psychological wellbeing. The effective contribution of religiosity to psychological well-being is 31.6% so that there are 68.4% influenced by other factors.
