Abstract

Decision support system (DSS) is part of computer-based information systems or knowledge management used to support decision making within an organization or company, can also be said as a computer system that process data into information to take decisions from the semi-structured problem of specific. The purpose of this study is to facilitate an agency in making decisions that deserve help. The method used in this system is the TOPSIS (Technique For Order of Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method. Topsis taken on the best alternative not only has the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution but also the furthest distance from the ideal negative solution. In making the system there are several criteria that have been determined that is, work, income, dependents, physical condition of the house and area. The results of this study is the system can provide information for users to determine who is entitled to help, based on the value of the largest calculation preference.
