Abstract

This research have two purposed. 1) Describe the characteristic of literature circle model in short stories appreciation learning grade of XI TITL1 SMK N 2 Purwodadi. 2) Describe the effectiveness of literature circle model in short stories appreciation learning of grade XI TITL1 of SMK N 2 Purwodadi. Qualitative descriptive method was used in this research. Test, observation, interview, and literacy were used to collect the data. Data triangulation technique was used to test data validation, while interactive analysis technique was used to analyze the data, they are data collecting, data reduction, data displayed and summarizing / verification. The result of the research shows that the characteristic of circle literature model in short stories appreciation learning in grade of XI Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik (TITL) 1 SMK N 2 Purwodadi Grobogan consist of syntagmatic characteristic, social system, management principle/reaction, and support system. Literature circle model in short stories appreciation learning in grade XI Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik (TITL) 1 of SMK N 2 Purwodadi Grobogan is effective. It is proved by the student‟s point, good for individual character and good in group. Key words : literature circle model, short stories, appreciation
