Abstract
Introduction: The stressful life events such as the loss of a loved one, the breakdown of social relationships, unemployment, marital problems, economic difficulties, employment pressure and discrimination increase the risk of mental illness. Increasing the number of people with mental disorders will continue to be a problem and a challenge for health workers. If someone fails to interact with others, then physiological and psychological responses will arise when the desire is not achieved. This condition occurs because a person does not want to learn from a process of interaction with others so that he never measure his ability to the standards of others. The result is a feeling of distress. Feelings of depression or depression due to failure of a person in fulfilling a demands will lead to the occurrence of personality lapses which is the beginning of the occurrence of mental disorders. Objective: This study to determine the precipitation stresor that supports the occurrence of mental disorders in patients with schizophrenia. Research Method: This study applied qualitative with narrative inquiry approach method. Respondents who participated in this study amounted to 8 people selected by sampling technique by purposive sampling. The results of the study: those obtained in the study of precipitation stresors that support the occurrence of mental disorders in schizophrenic patients in Surakarta mental hospitals obtained 5 themes, from the five themes are violent behavior, psychosocial distress, loss, life experience, and hallucinations. Conclusion: The results of this research are five themes, from the five themes, among others, violent behavior, psychosocial distress, loss, life experience, and hallucination.
