Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of local revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds and the number of residents to regional expenditure in the province of Central Java in 2009-2014. The type of data used in this study is the combined secondary data from cross section data and time series data from 2009-2014. The data used is obtained from the official website of Central Bureau of Statistics of Central Java Province. The method of analysis used is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that cross section of local revenue variable, general allocation fund and special allocation fund have significant influence to local expenditure, while the variable of population has an insignificant influence to local expenditure. In time series, local revenue variable and general allocation fund have significant influence to local expenditure while variable of special allocation fund and population have an insignificant influence to local expenditure. Simultaneous test results (Test F), indicating that local revenues, general allocation funds, special allocation funds and the number of residents simultaneously significant effect on local spending in Central Java Province. In addition, based on cross section and time series shows the phenomenon of Flypaper Effect in Central Java Province in 2009-2014.
