Abstract

The lack of calcium and iron intake is the nutritional problems in Indonesia. The students who are lack of iron intake will get anemia. Meanwhile, the low calcium of the growing children will bring the changes on several organ systems, such as bones and teeth. Furthermore, it becomes physically one of the factors that can affect the growth and development of the children resulting in weight management which also affects the nutritional status. This research aims at determining adequate intake of calcium and iron on nutritional status of the students at SDN 1 Pabelan Kartasura. This research used method of Cross Sectional. Sample of this research was the students of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade consisting of 61 people by using total sampling technique. The data were analyzed by applying the test of correlation statistic of rank spearman. The research subject of the students having normal nutritional status is 78.7%. The average calcium intake of 60.7% is categorized as the poor one, the average iron intake of 72.1% is categorized as the poor as well. Based on the result of statistic test, there is a correlation between iron intake and nutritional status (p=0,012), calcium intake and nutritional status (p=0,000).
