Abstract
Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection is an acute infection that causes inflammation and infection of the nose and throat. URTI is most common to children. This happens because the immune system in children decreases. The most common URTI disease in Indonesia are influenza, pharyngitis, acute otitis media and sinusitis. URTI disease caused by bacteria can be treated using antibiotics. This study aims to determine the management of therapy and the accuracy of the use of antibiotics for URTI disease in children in the Puskesmas Arjosari Pacitan District in 2016. This study was conducted by non-experimental methods obtained retrospectively to get a picture in the accuracy of therapy antibiotic in children with upper respiratory tract infections Acute by performing medical record records of pediatric patients diagnosed with URTI at the Arjosari Puskesmas 2016. A standard therapy that used in the form of a guide clinical practices to doctors in a facility the provision of health services a primer years 2014. The results showed that of the 115 samples in pediatric patients aged less than 12 years diagnosed with Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection at the Arjosari Puskesmas 2016, 101 cases (87.82%) using amoxicillin antibiotics as the primary choice, 8 cases (16.37%) using cotrimoxazole antibiotics and 6 cases using erythromycin antibiotics. The precise percentage of therapy for exact indication of 66,96%, 100% exact patient, exact drug 89,61%, exact dose 23,19% and rationality of therapy 13,91%.
