Abstract
Science Olimpiad is one of the Government’s programs in facilitating activities that lead to students’ creativity in science and technology. SMA N Kebakkramat is doing internal selection to get the best students according to the criteria of the Science Olimpiad. This web-based Decision Support System (DSS) becomes an alternative to manual calculations and speeds up the decision-making process in the Science Olimpiad participants selection. DSS was made by using MySQL and PHP. Methods used are waterfall system development method and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) calculation method. The SAW method chosen because it can determines the weighting value for each attribute, followed by a ranking process that will provide the best alternative from a number of alternatives. Assessment criteria were taken from the Mathematics selection test score, Biology, Physic, Chemistry, Computer, average report, mental, and proficiency which are the benefit criteria and the cost criteria were taken from the attendance during middle of first semester. Samples were taken as many as 20 11th grade students with the top rank. The results of the SAW calculation gives the order of students' grades from the highest to the lowest. Three students with the highest score are Ila Putri Pertiwi, Vina Widya Anggraeni, and Lusi Aprilia. The decision taken was not a final decision, because still based on decision makers.
