Abstract
Subjective well-being is an individual's evaluation of cognitive and affective life satisfaction that includes high positive affects and negative affects. Subjective well-being in a juvenile orphanage is essential so that the orphanage teenagers feel happiness and positive thinking in their lives. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between self esteem with subjective well-neing. The hypothesis proposed in this research is there is a positive relationship between self esteem with subjective well-being in social service ministry of child “pamardi utomo” Boyolali. This means the higher the level of self esteem, the higher the subjective well-being and vice versa. Subject in this study used all juvenile orphanages at social service ministry of child “pamardi utomo” Boyolali and sampling using population studies. Data collection tools use self esteem scale with subjective well-being scale. Data analysis is done by Product Moment Correlation. The result show that the purposed hypothesis is accepted that there is a significant positif relationship between self esteem with subjective well-being social service ministry of child “pamardi utomo” Boyolali. The level of self esteem variable is high, the subjective well-being variable is also high. The efective contribution of self esteem of 29% indicates that there are other factorys that may affect subjective well-being.
