Abstract

ABSTRACT Resilience is one's ability to rise from the adversity that occurs in life. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and resilience in adolescents with disabilities. Quantitative methods were chosen by researchers to achieve the objectives of this study. Respondents of this study were taken from the population of teenage students in the asrama Bina Daksa Social Rehabilitation Center (BBRSBD) Surakarta. This study used the scale of family support and resilience scale of adolescents with disabilities analyzed with total score. The result of product moment analysis from pearson by correlation coefficient value (r) 0,670 with significance p = 0,000 (p <0,01) means there is a very significant positive relationship between family support with resilience in adolescent disable. The effective contribution of family support to resilience is 44.9%. This means that there are 55.1% other factors that contribute effectively to family support with resilience in adolescents with disabilities. The results of this study indicate that family support may affect the ability of resilience in adolescents with disabilities in the dormitory of Bina Daksa Social Rehabilitation Center (BBRSBD).
