Abstract

Puji Rahayu/ A310130175. ANALYSIS OF CONJUCTION ON THE ESSAY PLAN OF SOLOPOS AND THE IMPLICATIONS AT INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. Thesis Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. November, 2017. This study has 2 aims 1) to describe the analysis of conjunction types in the editorial on Solopos newspaper, 2) to describe the implications as learning materials of Indonesian language in Senior High School. The object of this research is the use of conjunction in the editorial on Solopos newspaper. Technique of collecting data in this research is using library method, refer to, and record. That is doing because the object in this research is words that contained in the editorial. This research using the agih’s method. The results of this study contain four types of conjunctions in the editorial in the Solopos newspaper, which are 1) coordinative conjunctions consisting of clashing, affirmation, merging, equality, limitation, selection, equality. 2) a subordinate conjunction composed of comparison, cause, requirement, effect, time, 3) an intracalimat conjunction comprising but, that, for example, and 4) an interclauses conjunction composed of linking and collecting, opposing.
