Abstract

Introduction: Pregnant women should have good knowledge to perform the examination during the pregnancy process. Antenatal examination can prevent or overcome the problem of pregnancy, antenatal examination is very important to detect pregnancy complications. Adherence to iron tablets is one example of health behaviors performed by pregnant women. Objective: To know the correlation between antenatal care frequency and nutritional knowledge of pregnant women with adherence to iron tablets. Research Method: This research is an observational research with cross sectional approach. The number of research subjects as many as 37 selected by the method of consecutive sampling. The antenatal care frequency data is obtained through interviews and see the date of pregnant mother's visit each month in the KIA book. Data of knowledge obtained through questionnaires given to respondents and interviews conducted to respondents. Fe consuming compliance data obtained through interviews of pregnant women pregnant women using questionnaires. Questionnaires that will be used for previous research tested the validity and reliability first. The data obtained in this study using the test relationship between two variables using Chi-square test. Results: The results showed 56.78% of subjects studied routinely check the content, 56.8% of research subjects had a level of knowledge is not good, 67.6% of subjects obedient study consume iron tablets. Result of correlation test for ANC frequency with compliance consuming iron tablet ρ = 0,01, pregnant nutrient knowledge of pregnant woman compliance consuming iron tablet ρ = 0,003. Conclusion: There is a correlation between ANC frequency and nutritional knowledge of pregnant women with compliance of iron tablet consuming in work area of Mojolaban Community Health Center.
