Abstract

Background: Spontaneous abortion is a termination of pregnancy before 20 weeks of gestation. According to WHO’s data, spontaneous abortion occurs in 20 million of 46 million pregnancy every years and 800 hundred womens was dead because of complication and 95% cases was occurred in development country. There is so many risk factors of spontaneous abortion such as maternal’s age, gravidity, and history of abortion. Purpose: To analyze the risk factors of spontaneous abortion such as maternal’s age, gravidity, and history of abortion. Methods: Case control design was performed on 64 pregnant womens at Aghisna Medika hospital in 2016, consist of 32 pregnant womens who was suffered spontaneous abortion as case group and 32 pregnant women in their > 20 weeks of gestation as control group. The independent variables were maternal’s age, gravidity, and history of abortion. Result: The result showed that maternal’s age, maternal’s gravidity, and history of abortion were associated with spontaneous abortion (p = 0,008; p = 0,008; p = 0,020) with the greatest was maternal’s history of abortion (Exp(B) = 6,194) then maternal’s age (Exp(B) = 3,621), and gravidity (Exp(B) = 3,327).
