Abstract
In Indonesia there are 4.6% of the population experiencing severe mental disorder and 11.6% have emotional mental disorders. For Central Java, there are 13.9% of people suffering from emotional disturbance and 16.67% have severe mental disorder that is schizophrenia. The purpose of this study is to know the description of treatment, the picture of interaction and accuracy of the use of antipsychotic drugs used in patients with schizophrenia in Inpatient Installation of ‘X” Hospital of Central Java Regency of 2016 viewed from aspects of right indication, right drug, right patient and right dose. The research is non-experimental one using retrospective data. The data was analyzed descriptively. Sample of the research was 74 patients meeting inclusion criteria. The descriptive analysis included parameters of right indication, right drug, right patient and right dose in which drugs selection was adjusted with Pharmacotheraphy A Pathopshyologic Approach 7th edition of 2008 and Regulation of Health Minister No. 5 of 2014. Results of the research indicated that most administered antipsychotic drugs were haloperidol (18.99%), risperidone (11.81%), and trifluoperazin (8.02%), the most common antipsychotic drug interaction was haloperidol and trihexyphenidyl (21.65%) and the results of study on the drug use correctness showed that right indication was 100%, right patient was 100%, right drug was 89,18% and right dose was 100%.
