Abstract
Trans7 television station is one of the private television station that focuses on entertainment events program, packed entertainment with a different impression as the ”Para Petualang Cantik”. This event is packed with a mix of adventure concept artists and celebrities to a tourist area. This study uses the theory Uses and Gratifacations which measures the gap between satisfaction is sought (GS) with the satisfaction derived (GO). The purpose of this study was to: determine the satisfaction of students of the Faculty of Communication and Information Engineering UMS after watching the show "The Adventurers Beautiful" Trans7. This study uses quantitative methods to take the entire population of students of the Faculty of Communication and Informatics, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). Samples taken as many as 72 students with random sampling. Data analysis techniques in this study using the t test (t test). T test (t-test) to test whether there is a difference between the desired satisfaction (GS) and the satisfaction derived (GO). The results showed that the difference between satisfaction there’s expected (GS) with the satisfaction derived (GO) on the program ”Para Petualang Cantik” Trans7. Based on the gap analysis in this study, the ”Para Petualang Cantik” in Trans 7 has not been able to meet the needs of the respondent or able to give satisfaction to the respondent. Satisfaction obtained (74.6%) is still lower than the expected satisfaction (91.7%), so the PPC program Trans7 unsatisfactory viewers, especially at FKI UMS students.
