Abstract

The system changes in urban roads are basically motivated by the rapid growth of vehicles and limited road capacity, they need to be applied to prevent transportation problems such as traffic jams and even accidents. The purpose of this research are to determine traffic volume and the performance of Murni intersection after enactment one way road system on the Purwosari-Gendengan segment. The data used consist of the primary data (the intersection geometric and traffic flow), secondary data (peak volume of two and traffic system). The analysis uses Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 with performance parameters reviewed are capacity (C), degree of saturation (DS), delay (D) and queue probability (QP). Based on the result of analysis, it can be concluded that the performance of Murni intersection after new system is better than before but still not meet the requirements on the standart. It can be seen from the values of degree of saturation, delay and queue probality at T junction (A1B2-C) is DS 1,10; D 25,49 sec/pcu and QP 49-98 %. T junction(A2-B1-D)DS 0,74;D 12,15 sec/pcu and QP 22 - 45 %. Four legs intersection (A-B-C-D) DS 1,03; D 20,68 sec/pcu and QP 43 - 85 %. In general the above values are smaller than the previous condition, especially at T junction (A2-B1-D) and Four legs intersection (A-B-C-D). Above condition indicates that the Murni intersection need for some improvement to optimize the performance.
