Abstract
The transportation problem in Surakarta is similar to other big cities in Indonesia. Despite the efforts of traffic management in the form of One Direction System (SSA) has not been able to reduce congestion, one of them in Purwosari-Gendengan segment. This study aims to determine the performance condition of intersection JackStar intersection after SSA applied, then compare it with performance conditions when the intersection is still two ways. Kinerja simpang dinyatakan dalam derajat kejenuhan dan tundaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder arus lalulintas jam puncak dan waktu sinyal sebelum SSA dari Dishub Surakarta. Signal intersection is arranged 3 phases with cycle time 85 sec. Primary data (geometry condition, environment, and traffic flow data). Primary data (geometry condition, environment, and traffic flow data). The survey was conducted during one day during peak hour (06.00-09.00 GMT) dated October 19, 2016. Performance analysis using MKJI Method (Manual of Indonesia Road Capacity) 1997. The analysis results show the traffic flow of the intersection of the intersection in the morning of 2865.7 pcu/hour, the value occurred at 06.30-07.00 WIB. The performance of the intersection after SSA has passed the saturated value, it is marked with the value of DS of 1.29 pcu/hour greater than the provision of MKJI 1997 of DS 0.85. The value of the DS resulted in an intersection delay (D) 500.09 sec/pcu. The QL value of the western approach resulted in 212.12 m, northern approaches 67.37 m, and east approach 56.41 m. When compared to the performance of the intersection before the SSA, the result is an intersection performance altogether in an unstable condition. It shows the DS value before the SSA also passes the saturation value of 1.006. The QL value of the western approach produces 200 m, the northern approaches 78 m, and the 89 m east approach.
