Abstract
TRIA AYU YOGA KRISTANTI. J 310 140 095 RELEVANCY BETWEEN BODY MASS INDEX, WAIST CIRCUMFEREductiNCE AND FAT CONSUMPTION WITH LDL LEVELS IN HEART DISEASE PATIENTS AT CARDIAC POLYCLINIC AT RSUD IR SOEKARNO SUKOHARJO ABSTRACT Introduction : Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death every year. Excessive fat consumption can increase LDL levels by suppressing the regulation of LDL receptors in liver which can cause cardiovascular disease. Excessive body mass index (BMI) can show increased LDL cholesterol levels caused by low adinopectin. The waist circumference is a component of the metabolic syndrome. Excessive fat intake causes fat accumulation in the abdominal adipose tissue thereby increasing the size of the waist circumference. Insulin resistance in the metabolic syndrome which can increase LDL levels. Purposes : To determine the relationship of BMI, waist circumference and consumption of fat with LDL levels in heart disease patients in the cardiac Polyclinic at rsud ir soekarno sukoharjo. Methods : This study was an observational study using the Cross Sectional approach, the number of subjects was 30 people, who were selected using the consecutive sampling method. BMI data were obtained from the results of BB and TB measurements, pingang circumference data obtained from the results of waist circumference measurements and fat consumption obtained from the results of Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire. The analysis in this study used the Pearson Product Moment statistical test.. Results: The average respondent has a BMI value of 24.79; the average waist circumference of respondents is 112.75 cm; the average fat consumption of respondents was 119.08%; and the average LDL level of respondents was 118.99 mg / dl. The results of BMI analysis with LDL levels (p = 0.008); waist circumference with LDL levels (p = 0.111) and fat consumption with LDL levels (p = 0.260). Conclusion: There is a relationship between BMI and LDL levels, there is no significant relationship between waist circumference with LDL levels and there is no significant relationship between consumption of fat with LDL levels in heart disease patients at RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo Regency.
