Abstract
Approximately 60,90% of maternal deaths occur at the time of childbirth. In 2015 there was 16 cases of maternal deaths, 12 cases died at the time of childbirth in Karanganyar. One of postpartum complication’s problem was mental health. Postpartum depression had been around for the most of postpartum mother. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between age, parity, education, occupation, husband support, and family support with postpartum depression events in the working area of Puskesmas Karanganyar Karanganyar District 2017. This was analytic observasional research with cross sectional approach. Population in this research are postpartum mother in June 2017 in 106 and sample that be choosen by proportional random sampling 81 people. Sources of data in this research used primary data derived from interviews using questinnaires and for the measurement of depression in postpartum using EPDS (Edenburgh Postpartum Depressin Scale) with the provision that if the score < 10 then postpartum mothers do not experience while the score ≥ 10 then mother postpartum depression. And secondary data comes from data obtained from Karanganyar District Health Office and Puskesmas Karanganyar. The statistic test technique used chi-square. The result of this research showed that a correlation between husband support (p = 0,003 ), family support (p = 0,010) and no correlation between age (p = 0,656), parity (p = 0,469), education (p = 0,798), and occupation (p = 0,216) with postpartum depression event in the working area of Puskesmas Karanganyar Karanganyar District 2017.
