Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-perception to decision making in determining the objectives of the study on the students of the Faculty of Economics Department of Management and students of the Faculty of Education Department of Education Geography, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Hypothesis, there is a positive relationship between self-perception of the decision-making in defining the study objectives. The research subject as much as 135 people. The research method uses quantitative methods. Methods of data collection using Decision Making Scale and Self Perception Scale. Data were analyzed using analysis of product moment. The result of the calculation analysis of the obtained Pearson product moment correlation coefficient (r) of = 0.649, p = 0.000 (p <0.01). These results showed significant positive correlation between self-perception with decision-making in defining the study objectives. Effective contribution to decision-making self-perception in determining the purpose of the study by 42.1% shown by the determinant coefficient (r²) = 0.421. This means that there are 57.9% of other variables that influence decision-making in defining the study objectives. Self-perception had a mean empirical (RE) of 84.37 and the mean hypothetical (RH) of 65. can be known that the subject's self-perception is high. It shows that the subjects have faith in yourself and attitude towards the environment around the high (very good).
