Abstract

This study aims to test: (1) the different influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with open ended and konvensional learning to the mathematics learning achievement. (2) the influence of emotional intelligence to the mathematics learning achievement. (3) the mutual influence between learning model and emotional intelligence to the mathematics learning achievement. This type of research is quasi experiment. Research population, all students of class VIII MTs Muhammadiyah Waru academic year 2016/2017. The sample was taken by two classes, that is experimental class VIII C amounted to 34 students and control class VIII D amounted to 27 students with Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used documentation, test, and questionnaires methods. The data analysis technique used two-way ANAVA with unequal cells Which previously performed of normality test and homogeneity test. Result of research: (1) there was different influence Problem Based Learning (PBL) with open ended and konvensional learning to the mathematics learning achievement, with 〖F 〗_A>F_table is 5,533>4,03. (2) there wasn’t influence of the level of students’ emotional intelligence to the mathematics learning achievement, with 〖F 〗_B<F_table is 2,3002<3,18. (3) there wasn’t mutual influence between learning model and level of students' emotional intelligence to the mathematics learning achievement, with 〖F 〗_AB<F_table is 0,141<3,18.
