Abstract

The development of learning media is very impactful on the interest of Student Disaster Preparedness School in SMP Negeri 2 Ceper. the aim of this research is to know the students’ knowledge in understanding flood disaster. The researcher develops slide media learning (picture frame) to diliver the materials. This media is expected to become a stimulus for students to increase their interest in learning in the class. In the research, the researcher uses development model (dick and carey). The techniques of collecting data in this research are giving pre test and post test and questionnaire, which is aimed to student in the extracurricular SSB (disaster prepared schools). The level of students’ understanding can be known before the students use the media slide learning (frame picture), that is 186,5. However, after students use the media slide learning (frame picture), the level raises up to 212,5 with average pre test 7,77 and post test 8,85. This, it can be concluded that using media slide learning (frame picture) can increase the students interest in learning, because the students are more interested in computer based learning technique than listening to lecture or learning by printed media.
