Abstract
The high demand for land transportation services, the demand for infrastructure from land transportation is also higher. One of the materials used is coarse aggregate. This may result in damage to the ecosystem in the near future. To reduce the use of fresh aggregate then used recycle using concrete waste. Most roads in Indonesia use flexible pavement, for mixed types such as Asphalt Concrete (AC) and Hot Rolled Sheet (HRS). Asphalt concrete performance testing can be done through Marshall testing. Marshall testing is intended to determine the durability stability and flow of the asphalt mixture. Marshall testing is intended to determine the durability stability and flow of the asphalt mixture. This research was conducted to analyze Marshall properties of mixed AC-WC and HRS-WC mixtures using fresh aggregate as coarse aggregate and using concrete waste as a partial replacement of coarse aggregates. The determination of combined gradation and provision of Marshall properties refers to the Bina Marga Revision 3 (2010) specification. In the early stages, the characteristics of bitumen, new aggregate and concrete waste, then determining the optimum bitumen content of each variation of concrete waste. The next stage is Marshall properties test of 0%, 20% and 40% concrete waste variations using optimum asphalt content of each waste concrete variation. Based on the results of Marshall properties analysis of AC-WC and HRS-WC mixtures for all variations of 0%, 20% and 40%, the Stability, Marshall Quotient and VFWA values tend to decrease as the addition of concrete waste variations, while the Flow, VIM, and VMA have increased as the addition of variation of concrete waste each mixture. The results of Marshall properties analysis of AC-WC and HRS-WC mixtures show that the mixture using fresh aggregate has better Marshall properties compared to mixture using concrete waste.
